Monthly Meetings

Gathering at lunchtime monthly from October through May, members enjoy time to socialize and a brief business meeting, followed by a speaker or other program. Members bring a brown bag lunch; we provide dessert and beverages.

Outings

Field trips to museums, local landmarks, and Special Interest Group activities—such as films, concerts, play readings, and HD opera performances—provide opportunities for small group interaction. These events often include an optional lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Special Events

Although many of our events and outings are offered on weekdays, we also hold events in the evening or on weekend afternoons. Special WA events include:

A Welcome Back Party, held on an early evening in the fall
The Holiday Party, held in December in the early evening
The Annual Angie Utt Lecture is given on “Women in American Culture” in the late winter, on a Saturday afternoon
In the spring, a Saturday afternoon talk is given by a noted speaker—e.g., an author, an actress, a reproductive rights advocate or a politician.
